Hello,

Does anyone know if Ultrasound can use a SQL 2005 DB for data collection
instead of MSDE ? If so, can it reside in the same machine as the OnePoint DB
?

Thanks in advance!

Hi senna4ever,

I have not seen any problem regarding OnePoint sharing SQL server with other
product databases, so please look at the other products instead and see if
they have any problems sharing SQL server.

Hello and thanks Anders,

I sense a little frustration in your answer. Didn't mean to hurt you
feelings but I asked this question too quickly....nothing personal...I hope!

Here is the MS answer : You must install the database server separately
before you install the controller. You can download and install Microsoft SQL
Server 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE), which is available for free or you can use
SQL Server 2000 with SP3a. At this time, SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server
Express Edition 2005 are not supported due to an incompatibility. The
workaround is to install Ultrasound on SQL Server 2000 and then upgrade to
SQL Server 2005.

Good day!!!
